Sophie spent six years teaching English in comprehensive schools across London, before surprising everybody around her by going to live on an organic farm in Ireland for three months, where she learnt how to cook.
After a brief and terrifying stint in a high-end restaurant, she realised that being a Chef De Partie was much, much harder than teaching grumpy teenagers. She now works as a freelance chef, primarily in events catering.
